Today I saw
Last Samurai. I really enjoyed this movie because I've always liked swords and Japan o.O Don't know why, but I always thought that Samurais were from China while Ninjas were from Japan... but this movie showed me that I was just wrong. Also gave me more desire to learn Japanese, from some years I've been wanting to learn that language (I'm chinese).
After I saw the movie I wanted to write a long-arse rant about it, because it's the type of movie that inspires you. But... that was like 5 hours ago so I kinda lost the will to write a long long rant ;) All of those that play Lineage and like Japan should see this movie, it's too cool to write exactly how it is ^_^ Maybe someday I'll be able to visit Japan ^_^ And maybe I'll meet
Ai ;)
Let's see... some points of the movie that everyone should know is...
respect your enemy. Even among enemies, there's respect, and they fight each other with
honor. Not like what is going on in Dep with SOL... most of them (won't say all) don't know what is honor and respect, most of the time you just see them insulting you or talking stupid things. It's ironic, because some days ago someone came here to my blog saying that
I talk trash, and I understand by that that I insult people or something like that... I rarely insult people, even on Lineage, if I'm pissed, for example, I just write #$()#*()@$, and maybe you see me writing
fk when I get DC or lagged T_T If that dude thinks that talking trash is telling the truth then he just got the wrong concept.
Anyways, I also recomment people getting a book named
The Art of War, written by
Sun Tzu. I bought a copy a like two years ago, but... maybe by lazyness I'm still at the middle, haven't read it all =p But I did read a very short version of the book =p No really need to explain because the name of the book already explains...
After the movies I went with my parents and brother around to some places, and I bought a great book called
Tolleson Design. The book basically gives you a lot of examples of printed stuff (for Graphic Designers), and things like that. Costed 46 bucks -.- But, I asked for a student discount ;) The book has a lot of pages too... If you are a Graphic Designer I would recommend getting the book, has some nice stuff inside.
Two hours ago I went to IGG's Siege. I had to leave during the middle because my dad wanted me to download something for him... went back almost like 20-30 minutes before the siege ended. As far as I know, there wasn't any real attack, "heard" that PureFighter went and ended ~_~
